In 2011, Bay City Baptist Church recognized the need to make biblical, Christian counseling available to its own people. Not only that, we saw a need for counseling in Green Bay and northeast Wisconsin. So, plans were made, and in January of 2013, The Counseling Center at Bay City opened its doors.
Our counseling center has grown each year, and in 2023 we were able to help 92 people in 564 free counseling appointments. (The need is continuing to grow here in 2024.) Many of these appointments are from people seeking counseling in the Green Bay area, but people have come from as far away as Appleton, Antigo, Algoma, Marinette, Milwaukee, Shawano, and Iron Mountain.
We sure didn’t expect people to travel this far when we opened.
